About Owl Cave

Last century, I moved to Montana to work on a trail crew and build bridges and structures from native wood and rock. I’ve put those trail days behind me to pursue a new path. I come from a family of woodworkers and was taught early on to fix and make stuff yourself. I was fortunate to intern at Yestermorrow Design/Build School, where I learned that when building – furniture, kitchen cabinets, picture frames, anything- how it’s built (design) is equally as important to the what (function) and why (purpose). Building useful and aesthetic woodworks is a fascinating journey. I’m passionate about honoring that intention and honing the skills required to make it.
